Our Rivers and Lakes

Outings take place on some of Patagonia’s most iconic waters: the Carrileufú, Arrayanes, and Rivadavia rivers, and Futalaufquen, Krüger, Menéndez, Rivadavia, Verde, and Cholila lakes.

Whether on foot, by boat, or floating, fishing here is experienced with respect, depth, and beauty.

What to Expect Each Season

Spring

November 1 – January 1

The fishing season officially opens on November 1, with flowering valleys and mountains still capped with snow. Rivers flow with good volume and become fully fishable from December thanks to the lake-river system. Large trout are active and aggressive, perfect for those who enjoy varied techniques and dynamic days. Few people, enthusiastic guides, and a relaxed atmosphere make this season a true privilege for anglers seeking quality without crowds.

Summer

January 1 – March 15

This is the most popular season: long days, ideal weather, and dry fly fishing at its peak. Terrestrials abound (grasshoppers, beetles, ants) and trout are active but more selective, turning each day into a true art of presentation and strategy. With all rivers open and optimal conditions, it’s the season for those wanting to explore a different river each day. Advance booking is essential.

Autumn

March 15 – May 1

Patagonia turns shades of ochre and red, temperatures drop, tourists disappear, and rivers once again belong solely to anglers. Brown and brook trout prepare to spawn, with many migrating back into the rivers. It’s a special time: dramatic nature, intense and technical fishing—perfect for those who value tranquility, attention to detail, and a perfect season finale.
